When to drink it, how much, with what food, in a cocktail or mocktail: everything you need to know to fully enjoy your kombucha.

Kombucha is best enjoyed chilled, between 6 and 10°C, in a tulip glass. The recommended dose is 150 to 300ml per day for a healthy adult. It pairs well with grilled fish and fresh cheeses for classic kombucha, and with grilled meats, pizza and spicy dishes for Hopfield hopped kombucha. It can also be used as a base for mocktails or cocktails.
At what temperature should kombucha be served?
Kombucha is best served well chilled, between 6 and 10°C, similar to a light craft beer or a white wine. Too cold, it loses its aromas. At room temperature, it goes flat and its acidity becomes unbalanced.
Take your Hopfield kombucha out 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Pour it into a tulip glass or white wine glass to better capture the aromas. Tilt the glass slightly when pouring to control the foam, natural carbonation is often more intense than a soda.

Frequently asked questions
Can you heat kombucha for a hot drink?
Not recommended: for a hot fermented drink, opt for kefir or broth instead.
Can children drink kombucha?
Kombucha contains a trace of alcohol (generally less than 0.5%) and residual caffeine. As a precaution, not recommended for children under 12.
Can kombucha replace a sports drink?
An excellent alternative for moderate exercise. Its natural electrolytes and B vitamins make it a good post-workout choice. For intense efforts, supplement with water and minerals.
How to store kombucha once opened?
Seal tightly and refrigerate. Consume within 2–3 days to preserve the carbonation. Beyond that, it remains drinkable but becomes flatter and more acidic.
Is the sediment at the bottom normal?
Yes, it’s actually a good sign. This slightly cloudy deposit consists of residues of dead yeast and tea microparticles. Gently turn the bottle before serving, or leave it if you prefer a clearer glass.
